Largest Contentful Paint 

Largest Contentful Paint (or LCP) measures the time that elapses between when a user clicks on the website to when the content on a webpage is visible to the user. According to SEMrush, Google wants the content to load on a page in under two and a half seconds. 


First Input Delay (or FID) 

According to Google, FID refers to the time it takes for a website page to respond to first-time users. Clicking a link and other interactive buttons on the webpage is measured. To pass the FID test, a website must be able to respond within 100 milliseconds. 


Cumulative Layout Shift 

The last metric is the Cumulative Layout Shift (or CLS). This directly involves the legibility of the content within a webpage. According to SEMrush, CLS “measures the number of layout shifts that unexpectedly move the main content of the web page.” Google states that to meet their standards, the CLS of a web page should be 0.1 or less.
