If you want your business to stand out in search, you need to make sure you have your information as up-to-date as possible. That includes the services or products you offer, along with takeout, delivery or mobile ordering options you’ve implemented.
Luckily, Google understands how important search has become over the last year and continues to build tools that make it easier for businesses to update important information on Google Search and Maps. We’ll show you how to show customers the services you offer, edit takeout or delivery options and show products on Google.
Businesses that offer local services will have a new way to edit their services and area directly from Google Search. Simply use the ‘Edit profile’ menu through the Search page and easily show searching customers what services you offer.
If you are a service or restaurant business, you’ll also have the ability to enable online bookings directly through your Business Profile that pops up in Google Search.
One of Google’s newest products, Order with Google is seeing a few upgrades that will make it easier for food businesses to accept online orders through Google Search or Maps profile.
Soon, business owners will also be able to add and update their takeout and delivery options directly from Google Search. This will allow your customers to see what ordering options work for you.
Besides those changes, business owners can now add specific menu items to the Business Profile itself on Search and Maps. Using the same ‘Edit profile’ method as we previously went over in the Editing Local Services section, you can update your menu to include all or select dishes you want to feature. This helps customers get a better idea of what you offer!
Businesses that can show more of what they offer to customers have an enormous advantage over competitors. Customers want to do their own research before heading to a store to purchase products or services. Now, businesses have an even easier way to add their products to their Business Profile on Google, directly through Search and Maps.
Some select retailers will even be able to show in-store product inventory through Google’s Pointy connection!
According to Google, business owners will be able to get verified directly through the Search and Maps products as well. We’ll keep an eye out for those changes and update you along the way!
